I bought my residence at the height of the market in 2006. Since then, many different circumstances in life, led me to attempt a loan workout. With the cost of living constantly rising, my employment no longer offering overtime, my wife losing her bonuses due to the economy, and then the pregnancy of my wife with our twin boy and girl, costs were going up, and income was going down. All things led to my attempt for a loan workout.
I contacted my loan provider when my wife was pregnant with the twins in an attempt to modify my loan before child care costs caused me to stop paying my loan. The bank DENIED my loan workout because the twins were not born yet. They advised me to re-apply when the twins were born. I took the bank adviser’s advice and re-applied a few months later when the twins were born. I again was DENIED. This time they stated I was denied because I had attempted a loan workout less than 12 months ago, even though that was what they advised.

Not only did they save my house and bring my loan current, but they also negotiated a settlement for my Home Equity Line of Credit. All in all, they saved me almost $1,800 per month, which you can imagine is extremely helpful in offsetting the cost of raising twins.
