The majority of my transactions at Fry's Anaheim are uneventful and leave me happy with the purchase. This year, however, I had to use a Fry's warranty on an HDTV purchase. It did not go well. It was initially replaced with a highly inferior model. When I took the inferior replacement back, they were less than accommodating. After months of trying to resolve it with the local Fry's service department, I had to escalate it with Fry's corporate/management and a BBB complaint.
The manager at Fry's Electronics Anaheim, Tonya Smith, was very helpful and took the time to listen to the specific problems I had and did everything right to correct the situation. She was very pleasant to deal with, especially considering by the time I started talking to her I was already very upset. She restored my faith in Fry's and have since continued to buy my electronic needs from them again.
