I was just about to be scammed by this company then I googled them and got this site! I had just written a check to a girl claiming to need a grant for college. She was very silly, patronizing, claimed to want to go on to vet school. I said I didn't need any magazines (bought a bunch last fall from someone who, now I realize, was probably connected with this same company) and she suggested a book donation. So I selected a book to be donated. It was when she was taking the information and not very interested in the name or address of the hospital and I alarm bells went off in my head. I gave her the check for $15, but she never marked anything off on my receipt specifying any amount owed, paid-in full, anything. So after reading this site I chased her down and told her I'd need some written assurances that I would not be billed in the future or receive any delinquency notices or anything. I asked for her full name and number. She declined. I asked for an address. She offered the FloRd address. I told her I would need my check back and she gave it back. DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY THESE THIEVES!!!
