I had the worst experience with Five Star Van Lines and I would not advise anyone moving to use this company. Save yourself from a lot of stress and frustration. Mia, Carrie, David, Jonathan and Haim do not tell you accurate information and most times will not return your calls. Your items will be held "HOSTAGE" and you will end up paying a lot more than quoted. If you decide to cancel they will charge you more than the quoted amount and they will not tell you the location where your items are stored. My advice is to use a local mover in your area that is listed in the Yellow Pages. Once your items are loaded on their truck the fees increase and either way you will get stuck paying whatever they are asking if you want your belongings. Do not trust them. Mia and Carrie are nice over the phone to get you to contract with the company, this is who they use for bait and then the nightmare begins. I experienced all the horrible things you can only read about in the other bad reviews on this company. What makes things worse is that the owners and dispatchers are very rude and all they want is to take more money from customers. My cost increased by $500.00 from my original quote and they wanted me to deposit cash to their BofA account which I refused. I still have no idea of the weight of my items and of course I have requested a final invoice and David said Edward would call me back and that never happened. This company is not to be trusted. DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THEM.
