Review 6/7/2010

Do not waste your $3000 with this company. They know they are not allowed to charge up front fees for loan mods, so they get around this by charging you for a 'forensic audit' and the loan mod is free. this is like charging $25k for a cigarette lighter and giving you the car for free. Complete BS. All they do is act as middlemen with the bank and process the paperwork(not very efficiently I might ad). If you talk to your bank, they will tell you what documentation they need you to send in and they will perform the review. CFPG simply calls the bank, finds out what is needed, calls you and requests the documents sent to them, then they send it to the bank. Cut the middleman out and save your $3k. They suckered me back on Oct. 09 and I still do not have a modification. It took them 2 1/2 months just to get all the documents together because they kept losing them every time I would fax them in. And then by the time they had all the documents together, they would be outdated and we would have to start over. It is like working with a bunch of monkeys. They just hire uneducated inexperienced people off of craigslist and expect them to handle the biggest asset in people's lives. Over the last 8 months, I have gone through 6 different 'modification specialists' because they have such a high turnover. Over the last 2 months, I have been dealing directly with the bank because I was no longer able to reach anyone at CFPG that knew what was going on, and they had not contacted me with updates in months. I'm not doubting that some people have managed to receive a modification while using this company, but it is not because of anything that CFPG did that you couldn't accomplish on your own. There are no attorneys battling the banks on your behalf, just some kids processing the paperwork. If you are thinking of using this company, please send your $3k to me instead. Unfortunately, I know there is little chance that I will ever see that money again.
