Express Plumbing responded to a call regarding a malfunctioning residential sewage ejection system causing effluent to pour out of the sump onto the garage floor and out to the street creating a potential health risk.
They quickly found and replaced a "fried" sump pump (The Tertiary Problem)which when actuated, caused sewage to spew out under great pressure from the flap valve joint spraying him, my son Leslie and the immediate area. He quickly shut it down.
He then followed the 2" effluent piping at the ceiling to its connection to an 8" clay pipe, below the power co's guy support pole and anchor, at the top of the premises on "upper" Crescent Dr. where we removed a short length of the clay pipe finding it totally plugged up with roots and dirt, (The Secondary Problem).
I opted for the use of your video recording snake mechanism which found the 8" clay pipe compromised by the above anchor allowing root penetration, (The Primary Problem).
An opening was made in the street to accommodate an ingenious hydraulic/pulley/cable device which pulled a new 8" plastic pipe approx. 25' through the existing 8" effluent clay pipe under the street from the owners premises and connected to the main sewer line. The other end was connected to the existing 2" plastic pipe on owners premises and sump pump energized to demonstrate proper operation.
After a Dept. of Public Works inspector approved the main sewer line connection, the street opening was closed and repaved.
It was a pleasure observing a truly professional team that wasted no time accomplishing and foregoing. They were neat, clean, very courteous and communicated well without using invectives.
I commend you for hiring and retaining personnel of their caliber who utilize and maintain the state of the art equipment provided by their employer to do the job right the first time.
