Enterprise Rent A Car Location: 6687 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, Fl Date of Reservation: October 8th, 2009 9:00 am made through Expedia Confirmation Number: RWG 6RD
History of Events: October 7th 2009 3:30 pm: confirmed reservation with Enterprise. Agent stated that Enterprise will pick me up at 9:00 am at my home. October 8th 2009: 9:10 am: Enterprise did not show. I contacted Enterprise at their office. Agent picked up and stated that she would call me back in 2 minutes. October 8th 2009 9:25 am: The agent never called. I had to get a cab to make it on time to my business meeting. October 8th 2009 9:35 am: I called Enterprise after the agent did not return my call. After several attempts of getting through to the office, the agent stated that the driver was busy picking up someone else and once she returned then she would pick me up. She also stated that she was by herself at the office handling other customers’ calls and that is why she could not return my call. I told the Enterprise agent that their office should not have stated that they will pick me up at my location and then not show up, and at the least, they should have contacted me to let me know that they were running late. Obviously, I cancelled the reservation. October 8th 2009 9:45 am: Called Enterprise headquarters to file a complaint. Enterprise stated that in their “literature” pick up times are not guaranteed. I can’t find this so called literature on their website. Bottom line: Do not depend on Enterprise to be there for you. I normally use Budget or Avis and I never had a problem. I chose Enterprise because they had a lower rate on their economy car over their competitors. Over a matter of $6.00 difference in the car rental rate, I lost $40.00 as a result of taking a cab back and forth to my business meeting.
