Dollar2host appeals to millions of web consumers in search of the most economical offer. Two dollars a month is very appealing and would be ideal; however, as the old adage goes, "...You get what you pay for..."
Nevertheless, this is no excuse to not be customer oriented. A consumer becomes the "owner" of whatever service or product being offered, for the amount of time such payment deems; whether one pays two dollars or two-hundred dollars for the service or product being offered.
As such, dollar2host falls short in the "customer service" department where "customer service" efforts are made to correct and compensate for billing errors that cause loss of business and service to website patrons. When companies elude correcting billing concerns and grievances, this borders on fraudulent practices. Two weeks of trying to contact a billing department to correct an error is unacceptable.
I signed into my account hoping progress had finally been made on my billing issue; and I find that MY DOMAIN HAS BEEN TERMINATED!---Even though they charged my credit card for the domain renewal fee!!!
Red flag: When trying to make contact, I learned that the phone number advertised on the website does not work! This was not a good sign.
After exhausting all options over a two-week period; and finally seeing that my domain was terminated after payment was made; I had no choice but to report this to the BBB; in hopes of resolving this to recover loss and prevent further personal loss.
I recommend paying the extra few dollars for hosting; and gain access to a "live" conversation with a legitimate customer service representative when needed.
