I work for a dealership and first received a call from a man named Todd with Direct Supply Depot a few weeks ago. He asked for my name and that I verify the model number of our office copier so that he could confirm our ink cartridge order. Not knowing what this was in reference to, I told him what model it was but that I was not the one to authorize such orders. He talked for several minutes about giving us a special rate on cartridges. He said his supervisor would call the following day to confirm the order. Another man called the next day and asked to confirm the order. Again, I told him I was not the person to authorize such orders. Todd then called the following week asking to verify our copier model. I asked if he was the same person that had called the week prior and he said no, but then hung up. Today, we received a shipment from them which we did not order. I believe this company is trying to take advantage of unsuspecting companies in hopes these orders will just be paid for without anyone noticing the scam.
