I have a warranty with Dealer Services on an Acura RL. I have paid my premium in full and had a covered item that needed repair. My problem is my back rear window, the motor is shocked and caused the cable to break and my window will not stay up. The part for this problem is one unit. The cable regulator and the motor are all one piece. My motor was covered by the agreement. Dealer Services denied my claim because they say on most vehicles the cable always breaks first. They said, it's not that common on an Acura, but on most Honda's this is the case and therefore will not pay to have it repaired. The Dealer Repair Shop called and told them the motor burned out and caused the cable to snapped and there was no way to determine that the cable broke first. Again, this part is all one unit. The supervisor of the repair shop also called to verify this and they still denied my claim.
If anyone out there is considering to getting an extended warranty on their vehicle. I would strongly suggest for them to not use Dealer Services, they are a ripped off and their customer services is rotten to the core. I will not be renewing my policy with them.
If they look for loopholes to repair a window, I quite sure they won't fix any problem that needs repair even though your policy claims it is a covered item.
