I have filed a complaint against Crawford Law Group with the BBB. They promised and contracted with us to lower our interest rate for two mortgages we hold. They told us to not pay them on time as they would help us out more the more behind we were. I saved all emails from them. They did not help us with either mortgages. We were able to settle with our first mtg, but due to the correspondence I had with the lender, NOT with Crawford, yet they took the credit. Our lender even acknowledged that it was us that did the legwork that enabled us to lower our rate a bit. They did nothing in the past nine months for our second mtg, not even acknowledging it and telling us "we are done here" when WE got our rate lowered for our first. I asked on several occasions to refund us the $2500.00 they took from us, with no luck. They refuse to get back to me. Their lawyer John Crawford was disbarred recently! This is all a scam to get your money. If you need to lower your rate contact the mortgage company yourself. They WILL work with you! You do not need the stress of these people. Many times I spoke with them in tears. They told me what I wanted to hear and promised to help us. But then nothing! We still have to do something about our second mortgage, but we will handle it on our own. Crawford Law Group put us more in the hole than they helped us. Don't let them do that to you! They lie!
