Well I'm not suprised to see that the company has an "F" rating.
We switched to consolidated from another company that was twice as expensive.
The service was decent for the first 6 months, at which point the driver that was servicing our address left the company. For the next two and a half weeks we did not receive a pick up. We called a number of times and asked them to come pick up.
After calling 20+ times, we finally got the attention of the General Manager, who sent one of the supervisors and a truck to dump the over flowing bin, and reload it with all the excess trash that was on the ground. Did I mention this was over the Christmas holiday?
After that a new driver started the route and trash was picked up.
If this was the end of the story, I'd rate them as a 2 or 3, but it's not.
We received the bill for the time when the trash wasn't picked up. Expecting a discount on the service I was shocked to see several additional charged, including a $39.14 charge for missed PU. The other additional charges were for "additional PU's" that we had requested, when our trash wasn't being picked up.
With the General Manager well aware of the missed service, and lack of customer service from his employees the charges are inexcusable, as was the initial lapse in service.
I'm hoping that the General Manager will resolve the issue, but have little faith in this companies willingness to work with customers or live up to it's promises.
In no case would I ever sign a multi year service contract with a trash company, especially Consolidated Disposal. The max I would ever sign is a 12 month contract. I'll update the post with more info depending on the response of the General Manager.
