Purchased a monitor from them for $99. Jacob Bzhar (the store owner, as far as I'm aware) assured me that even though it was an open-box-item, it was brand new, and gave me a 90-day warranty.
About two days later, while trying to play some music on my computer, I noticed that one of the built-in-speakers on the monitor did not work. The next day, I went back to Computronics, and explained the situation to Jacob. He then proceeded to attempt to SELL ME A SET OF SPEAKERS, not even acknowledging that the item I had purchased days earlier, which was "brand new", ended up being faulty. He also said that a broken speaker was not a "big deal", and essentially implied that I should be grateful to have gotten such a fair price on a monitor, regardless of it's faults.
Obviously, I was unhappy, and I told him so in no unclear terms. He then offered to "find me" a comparable monitor that I could exchange mine for, and said he would have one of his associates contact me when they had done so. I pointed out the 90-day warranty, and told him I wanted to make sure that it was taken care of before that date. He told me not to worry about it, he would honor the warranty even if he was unable to locate a new monitor before that time.
This is where I should have known better, and just demanded a refund on the spot. Instead, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and he screwed me over.
So, a couple of weeks go by, and no word from him. Another week goes by. Finally, I call him, and it turns out he still hasn't found a new monitor for me. Frustrated, I tell him I would like a refund for the full sale amount, minus tax. He agrees, and I say I will bring the monitor in that week.
The next day, I get an urgent sounding call asking me to contact him BEFORE bringing the monitor in. When I call back, he informs me that his "accountant" (who I am pretty sure is his wife) has decided that they will not be issuing me a cash refund, but will offer me a "store credit", minus a 20% restocking fee. (!!!)
To make an already long story a little bit shorter, I am in the process of taking him to small claims court to get my refund. This business is utterly shady and unprofessional, and I would strongly advise against doing business with them just to save a couple of bucks.
