HOW DO I MAKE THIS A ZERO STAR RATING? 3/28/11
I just received a letter from Compliance Services and immediately filled out the enclosed paperwork. I then saw that $125 was required to file after I had already filed my Annual Report on Sunbiz.org. Not being up-to-date on all tax laws, I asked my accountant and was told that it was a scam...in fact, he had three other clients this week approach him with the same question. I almost was ready to fork over a $125 for nothing.
Clearly people are not informed enough and want to do the RIGHT thing and pay. So this SCAM company is clearly preying on those who are uninformed by using specific language (i.e. 'compliance', 'requirement', 'submit a check for preparation of docs to satisfy', 'all items must be completed', etc.) to make one believe they NEED TO do this or else.
They know that people don't read the small print (which they should) and then they bury a disclaimer into the body of the letter saying this is not affiliated with a govt. agency.
Shame on this scam company for ripping people off. They know that they are doing a disservice to the world especially when many small businesses are in need of every penny they make.
