Chosing Coast to Coast Van Lines was the biggest mistake I have ever made, so anyone thinking of a moving company, Please, Please do not consider this company. This was a nightmare for me from the time they came to pick up the furniture to the 15 days it took me to get it. They first stated that I needed to pay an additional 400.00 for wrapping my couch and love seat which it plainly states in the contract that that is included and these items would be wrapped with blankets. I called and spoke with Cindy on numerous occassions prior to the actual move to ask about certain things being wrapped or packed and specifically about the couches and bedroom suite. She stated no they would not shrink wrap the bedroom furniture, which they did and wanted to charge me for that as well. When I signed the contract, I was asked how quickly I would be in Ohio..(Was in Texas at the time) I stated that I would be there on the 26th of July and they gave me a date of delivery of July 28th. Needless to say, I didn't receive my furniture for 15 days and after hundreds of calls and emails that were never returned finally got the number for the driver that had my stuff. He informed me that he was stuck in Georgia and from there had to go to NY and then on to Ohio...this was not the agreement. No one from this company would return a phone call or email and they never answer the phone. When my furniture finally did arrive it was a driver and his girlfriend and we had to wait for someone to come and help him unload. My stuff was crammed in the middle of this semi and had to come through the small door on the side of the truck. All of my boxes were crushed and almost every piece of glass in a box marked clearly "FRAGILE" handle with care was broken. The driver continued to call me out to the truck to ask if this box was mine and if this washer dryer was mine and etc...When I questioned him he stated that the stickers had fallen off the boxes. This was such a cluster, that after he left I realized that I was missing a box and contacted the driver...he stated that we counted all the boxes and he didn't have it...well we didn't and couldn't count the boxes because of the huge mess they created and confusion on what was mine and what wasn't mine. This particular box was one of the most important boxes that I had as far as precious memories...It had all of my Moms personal belongings as well as all of her receipes that had been passed down from generation to generation. These items are irreplaceable. I contacted the company again and left a message stating that I would pay to have it shipped...anything to get this box back...again...no response. I have contacted an attorney and we are currently working together on a law suite against this company and while I do not want a dime, I want them to pay for this sorry service that they call a company and will broadcast to everyone including FOX 4 news in Dallas my experiences with them. This was a nightmare that I hope I can stop anyone else from having. I am posting this on every website that I can find for movers that have reviews, and all of this could have been handled with just some returned phone calls and communication..
