Bad Experience
|
I had a rough experience with Century Diamonds. Ill try to keep this short.
About 10 days before Christmas, I buy .5carat emerald cut flawless D color diamond studs. ($1100)
A few days later they tell me they actually do not have the diamonds I ordered, and gave me a few other options. These options were to upgrade to larger stones of lower quality for a much higher price, or "Switch to Princess cut for no price change."
The princess cut were actually listed as $70 less on the website.
After asking for a discount for the larger diamonds, which they said they cannot give me, I then settle for the princess cut and ask if they could give me free shipping since I am already paying $70 more for the downgraded diamonds. They do not answer after repeated emails and calls. Finally after I am wishing I never bought from these guys in the first place, they come back and say they will get it done for me. So after all this I am finally relieved that I will have a good present for my mom.
Until they come back a couple days later (right before Christmas) and tell me they are refunding me because "their machine broke."
In hindsight I am happy they refunded me, because after more research I found that generally their diamonds are not the quality you would expect from "clear flawless" diamonds, as they use some cut rate grading scale.
I never write bad reviews but with these guys I had to.
