Review 2/2/2011
|
On December 20, 2010, I sent in 17 items, three of which were gold-plated, the other fifteen items ranged from 10-14 karat gold; one item was a gold chain with a diamond and emerald heart-shaped pendant. After I mailed the gold items, I realized I should have taken a picture of the items submitted. On January 10, 2011, I received check#71875, dated for January 6, 2011, in the amount of $14.33. Unhappy with the amount, I noticed a paragraph on the back of the check receipt that states:
“THE CASH YOUR GOLD NOW GUARANTEE If for any reason you do not wish to cash the check we send you, and would like your items returned to you, simply return the check so that it arrives at the address indicated on the top left portion of the check within eight (8) days of the date of the check. If you are concerned that your check will not arrive back in time, please email us at customerservice@CashYourGoldNow.net and to give us notice so that we can pull your goods in advance of receiving your check. Cash Your Gold Now will return your items within 15 business days. Cash Your Gold Now will do so without charge to you.
In original packet request, I was assigned a Unique Identification Number of 074037, in order to track my shipment. As earlier stated, I received a check for $14.33, on January 10, 2011; unsatisfied with the amount of the check, I immediately emailed Cash Your Gold Now, the same day (1/10/11), expressing my dissatisfaction with the amount of the check therefore requesting that my gold items be returned to me. As of to date, 15 business days have since elapsed without the return of my items.
On February 2, 2011 at 4:07PM EST, I called the customer service number (877-302-4020), supplied on the front of the packet to inquire about the return of the gold I submitted, and was told, my gold was already “processed” and there was nothing I could do to get my gold back because the check wasn’t received within 8 days of the original check date. I explained to the customer service representative that I did what I was supposed to do, according to the customer guarantee portion of the check receipt, and again was told, my gold was “processed”. To throw salt in an open wound, I was told that they never received the check I mailed to the return address on January 11, 2011. I also explained to the customer service representative that I do not control the US postal service, and have no control over when mail is received, and again, I was told my gold was already “processed” and that there is nothing I can do to get it back.
