California Business Collector (CBC) offers an unnecessary "service" for a fee. They mail out documents they call a "Disclosure Statement" that requests immediate remittance. However the service they provide is to file information with the California Secretary of State, which is something companies can do for themselves. The statement they send is purposefully misleading. Their statement is suspiciously similar to a disclosure statement sent by a company called Department of Business Minutes (DOBM) that is also located in Los Angeles that lists a post office box for an address. A three star rating for this company seems excessive.
