Unethical company

I have made a lot of purchases with this company and always leave a review. However, the time that I did not have something good to say about a product and gave it a 1 star review - that review never got posted on the website. I have contacted company many times and they give an apology, and say they are escalating but I am still to see my 1 star review posted. Is this illegal? I know it is unethical. So in the interim, do not trust their customer reviews - for every positive review there are probably ten negative reviews.
