This nail salon was hands down the worst nail salon I have ever been to. I just moved to Palmdale so I was trying out places to find a good nail place. The salon itself is very nice looking and big. But then I sat on the pedicure chairs which were really old, uncomfortable and falling apart. then I noticed the workers using ripped up and stained towels. They charged $10 for extras like callous remover, or sea salt (every other salon ive been to charges $5). Didn't even cut my nails and the polish chipped the next day.
I made the big mistake of simply asking if they do facials. The ladies then started pressuring me and my boyfriend to get a facial. At first I didnt want to but I looked at their list of services and they had about 5 or 6 different types of facials so I thought, ok they must be good. Then in that weak moment we agreed to a facial - 30 minutes for $40. They only had one girl there who did facials so they told us I would go first, then my boyfriend. From my experience with facials (and I've had facials from places like Burke Williams, to small private owned spas) they are supposed to be relaxing and good for your skin. The first 2 minutes that I laid there and listened to the soft music were great. Then she came in and it all went down hill from there. It was impossible to relax with her opening the faucet and filling up a metallic bowl with water every minute, then proceeding to take 2 scrubs, dipping it in the water and pretty much scratching my face with it. instead of gently rubbing it on my face to remove whatever the hell she was putting on there. As im laying there, i am thinking to myself the second I get out of this room I am going to tell my boyfriend not to get this facial! Then I notice she keeps leaving the room, at one point she even took the steamer machine back and forth with her! I realized she was doing our facials at the same time. Going to the other room, rubbing her hands on my boyfriends face, then coming back and rubbing her hands on mine. That is so unprofessional and definately not good for your skin! The whole facial was just her rubbing different things on my face then scratching them off. oh ya and coming in and out of the room about 10 times. She didn't even remove any blackheads, blemishes like they do during EVERY facial. And in the end my skin looked worse and I developed like 5 pimples that I most DEFINATELY did not have before I stepped into that dirty place.
I regret going there so bad, I regret even paying them one penny of our hard earned money. I really did not want to relive that experience but I have to let others no it is not a good idea to go to Bellissima. More like HELLissima.
