We entered into an agreement with Beacon to consolidate our debt and avoid bankruptcy. We were told to end all correspondence with our debtors and we started sending our payments to Beacon with the understanding that everyone was on board. After a few months we got a call from Bank of America informing us of our court appearance date. WHAT!! Concerned, we contacted Beacon and they told us that this was just a scare tactic, well I was scared. To this point I had almost never been late on a payment on anything so this was a huge issue. I contacted Bank of America and they told me that Beacon had never sent them ANYTHING. In order to keep from being sued I had to pay Bank of America within 1 week of being contacted. Beacon refused to refund any money for their lack of service. I ended up being far worse off. I paid Beacon a couple of thousand dollars and came within a few days of being sued for it. I terminated my contract with Beacon and paid all of my creditors myself. Beacon please contact me if you wish to have this complaint removed. I assume you do keep records of the people that you "represent".
