My complaint against B and B Blinds is so complex and continued over such a long period of time, to explain in its entirety would read like a book. The only thing I can say…is buyer, please beware.
I hired B and B Blinds in 2008, for the first time, to do a 2500 sq ft home in Indio. The job did have a few hang-ups but all-in-all everything went good. I loved the shutters, they looked great and I was completely satisfied. Fast forward, Jan. 2011, I called Kevin (an owner) at B and B Blinds to come give me an estimate on the EXACT same shutters I had in Indio. I was now doing a 3500 sq ft home in Hemet. The Hemet home was to have the same paint, décor etc as the Indio home so the shutters were to be the exact same. Kevin finally showed up after 4 calls and 2 missed appts. Other than that, all seem to go well until the time frame for the completion of the shutters arrived. I ended up having to called 3 times to even get an install appt. The shutters were installed and than I realize the color was not right. The color was to be “bright white” as before, but I got “dull white”. Most people, would not know the difference, but this was a $4700 job, I wanted what I wanted and paid for. I talked to Kevin and he blamed me for the wrong color saying I ordered it but there is no way this would be true because from the very beginning, all I ever said was “I wanted the exact same shutters I had in Indio”. Finally after a few months of missed appts and failed promises, I agreed to an additional mstr bath shutter that I had not ordered originally as a “settlement” for the mistake. Simple settlement, I know, but the color was not obvious to most people and what was I to do, end up in a lawsuit. All I can say about that is….today’s date is 9/13/2011, I have yet to ever receive that shutter. I have made way too many phone calls to Kevin to even count, wasted so many hours on missed appts and failed promises. He actually came out once with the completely wrong shutter, that was a couple of months ago now. Well, here I am. All I can say is, don’t get involved in the poor business practices of B and B Blinds. It is NOT worth your time, your patience or your sanity. Buyer Beware…Shop elsewhere!!!
