I purchased a gift certificate for a detailed car wax service as a gift for my boyfriend for x-mas. The manager said that I needed to pay extra since he had a truck because larger vehicles were extra. So I did and asked him to write down on the certificate that I had paid the extra $. Last weekend we took his truck and the same man who sold it to me said they will not honor it because they said that they changed ownership the week before. He said It was my problem and I can't be refunded. I am so angry! $79 may not seem worth pursuing but that amount is the same as me working an entire day for free! Whats the kicker is that our entire family would bring our cars to them for this service monthly and now we will never use them again. Customer service and obeying the law are things this company should improve.
