Good service for the money.
|
I received a call from this company and they offered me a free consultation in regards to my mortgage problem. I had already been denied by the bank so I was skeptical as to whether they could help or not. I was out of options, so I decided to hear them out. I answered some questions for the guy on the first call and he told me I would receive a call back within a couple of days. I forgot all about that first call almost immediately. Two days later I received a call from John Dalton and he told me that AMA thought I had a case. We talked for an hour about what they could do to help me and it sounded too good to be true. I asked what guarantees I could get if I used their service and Mr. Dalton told me that anybody who guaranteed me anything was up to no good. For some reason that eased my mind a bit. Then he told me that if I wanted to proceed, he would send me the contract with the terms laid out clearly for me. When I received it, I sat and looked at it for hours, then days. I was out of options. I hadn't made a payment in over eight months and a notice of default had been filed by Chase. I decided to retain their services. After I filled out the contract and paid their retainer fee, they started working on my case immediately. I called Chase to verify, that they were indeed working my file and the Chase rep confirmed that the file was in active review. I received calls from Liz about once a week regarding the status of my modification. There were a few times that she requested some extra paperwork like my bank statements and paystubs. All together from the first call until today, it's been a little over 4 months. I just received my approval a few hours ago. They were able to get over $64000 knocked off of my loan balance and get me a 3.75% rate. I was paying at 6.125% before, so this is great. The payments that I missed were included into the principle balance reduction so I was brought back up to current. On top of that, my payments were dropped by 472 per month. The only reason that I am only giving a four star review is because they told me that it would only take 3 months. It took a little over 4 months from start to finish. If you're in a situation that makes you feel like you have no options, it is probably worth your time and money to go with American Mitigation Alliance. I am able to keep my home and my family's future is secure. Thank you to Liz, John, Philip and everyone else at AMA who helped me out.
