American Debt Settlement Solutions, Inc. have called me 5-6 times in the past 3 months. The last call this morning made my day as I think one of the trainers had me on conference call with her trainees.
The call started simple enough - how they were going to reduce my debt to .55 cents on the dollar and explained to me how many people they've helped. The contact went from me asking Angie to take me off their list and place me on Do Not Call and escalated to me calling them out on how fraudulent they are and how many lives they've probably ruined through this scam service.
Companies like the ADSS work like this: They take your money and place it into an escrow account to 'pay your bills'. You are advised to stop paying your creditors and they will use what money is there in the escrow account to start paying them. Supposedly the creditors will see your balance in the escrow account and settle with ADSS.
As the BBB rates it, this company has a rating of an F for Fraudulent. What really ends up happening is as the previous users state, they will take your money and charge you roughly half of what you pay them as a service fee. You end up in a worst off position than you started, wreck your credit, and build up a lot of unnecessary problems for yourself.
Save yourselves the headache.
