I purchases renters insurance in Oct 07. The policy was cancelled in April 08. The company stated they would send a refund. According to their representative, they issued a credit back to my credit card. The account that is closed. The bank states no credit was received from this company. I emailed several times trying to convince this company that I have not received the refund. They gave me an 800 and told me to call their "chargeback" department and ask for a refund check to be issued. When I called their chargeback department, it was a separate company that deals with credit cards. It was not related to them at all. When I confronted the insurance company they basically said the issue is closed. They refuse to give proof that they even sent the refund, let alone that I received it.
