Business's response - by Nicholas Z.on 5/9/2012

We responded to a service call placed by Miranda Megill, owner of Flore Vegan (Tierra Restaurants, LLC) for her prep table running warm. We went out in good faith, diagnosed the unit and made recommendations of parts needed to get the unit up and running. Miranda proceeded to pay our technician with a check but did not give the OK or approval for the recommended repairs. In our industry, no warranty or guarantee of the work can be assumed if the repairs and or recommendations made by the tech from our company are ignored or declined by the customer. The same day we provided service, Miranda proceeded to place a "Stop Payment" on our check which is illegal by the way. Over a year has gone by since we have provided service and still the check has not been made good. At this time we have no other recourse than sending the customer to court to collect on the unpaid invoice. In essence, Miranda used our service(s) to gain a free diagnose of her unit and wronged us by placing a "Stop Payment".
