We maintian a "A" rating because of how we perform. If this were a valid claim the BBB would have logged a complaint against Affordable, which it didn't.
Affordable did not sell this client debt consolidation, but referred over to a law firm to do a debt settlement. Reveiw of his contract reveals full disclosesure, that what the client was paying for was someone to negotiate with his creditors for a reduced payment to settle HIS DEBTS that he already incured. That can only happen when client has savings(not the case 1 month in a program) He was clearly explained in writing that this was not LEGAL REPRESENTATION, that if he was sued he must go to court to avoid a garnishment. It is obvious from this review that he is being garnished which would lead me to believe he ignored the court date and the creditor obtained a judgement. If he is paying $3000 for B/K then he is either paying way too much (B/K cost $1500)or exaggerating for this review. The Lawyers we spoke to said they were still working with him on his remainning debts(not garnished)but would be happy to stop all work and refund any fees not already earned and he should call them directly ASAP....
