I first went to the BBB to help me with my complaint, once I got my security deposit refund check from my former landlord. I thought I should have gotten it all back. The BBB sent the landlord my dispute. The ownership company sent me a response in two days. They kinda gave me more info than I requested. Once they showed me why I was getting charged, I began to understand. Basically all charges were then okay, except the blinds charge for cleaning. I pointed it out to them that on my move-in condition report I noted a problem and once I showed them that, they gave me that money back. Overall the BBB helped me get some money back and the landlord did respond to all my concerns and did what they were supposed to do. Good expereince overall.
