To start, the truck that was scheduled to pick up my shipment was a day late. The driver lied to me and my father (who was signing for my shipment in my place) saying that he had been at the pickup location on time. This was of course was imposable do to the fact that my father was still at the pickup location after being kept waiting for over 8 hours. When the pick up was made, the driver had someone else’s paperwork. He proceeded to cross out her shipment information and write mine in its place. My father asked several times if the driver intended to have him (of which my father has a voice recording) sign the contract with someone else’s name on it. The driver repeated several times “Yes”. When the driver failed to even write my name and delivery address on the contract my father took it upon himself to do the drivers job and correct the contract. Second, I was told 4 different amounts that I owed. One that was on the contract, I was told two different amounts by office employees and the delivery driver told me a forth amount. When the delivery was finally made, (30 hours late), my belongings were crammed in a semi trailer along with about 10 other peoples shipments. Several items were offloaded that I could have very easily could have clamed as my owned. When all was said and done, I was missing over $12,500.00 worth of furniture. The delivery men, who are the only individuals working for this business that seem to do their jobs, assisted me in calling the home office. I spoke to a woman who assured me that she would search the where house and contact me on the next business day. It has been 2 weeks and I have not been contacted once. When I call I and told that the supervisor “David” is out and that he will return my call. Of course, that call never comes. I was able to talk to him after giving a fake name and he acted as though he know nothing about my shipment of case. I find this imposable due to the fact that he was my point of contact prior to my shipment delivery. Lucky, I was insured. I will only get a portion on of the $12,500.00 worth of good back. I only home that I can help spare anyone else the headache and expense of doing business with A Professional Move Inc.
