Hi,
What about a Law Firm that request a fee upfront? That is located in California, sorry if this question seems stupid since they are a Law Firm and most Lawyers do ask for a fee. I have been speaking with Liberty Law Firm about a Modification. They have requested a retainer to get started. They do have a B rating with the BBB, and a Website for their service. This is just so confusing and time pressing!! and In light of all the scams going around scary!!

Having dealt with this company personally, I can tell you that they are the ONLY legitimate company I have found. They were able to get my loan down to an affordable payments after my lender told me there was nothing that could be done. I had used another company before going to them, and Secure Doc Prep even helped my get my money back from the scam company. They were always there to answer all of my questions. They even gave me their personal cell phone numbers. If it wasn't for Secure Doc Prep, I don't know what I would have done. Probably lost my home.

About the collecting fees before the actual loan modification I called secured doc prep and that is correct. I also called 3 other companies that had a rating form the BBB of A and B and they collect fees BEFORE the loan modification. I'm so confused!!! In fact the other companies said that I HAD to not pay my mortgage to show hardship. That is dishonest and secure doc prep agreed. We feel good about Secure Doc Prep and are going to do it. I'll keep you all posted

I have contacted numerous real estate firms regarding assistance on a home loan modification, and while all the reps I talked to were very nice, none were as honest and straight forward as Secure Doc Prep. In fact, all of the firms I called guaranteed a successful loan modification except for Secure Doc Prep. I have a 4.875% fixed 30 year loan, my debt to income ratio leaves me with a substantial surplus each month and I don't have any current hardships, although if some of my investments don't land I may have future hardships! :) While every other group I called promised results, Anthony Morreale at Secure Doc Prep gave me an over the phone consultation and even took the time to run my particular financial situation by one of the underwriters in his office to see if anything at all could be done with my loan. Unfortunately for me nothing could be done, but because Secure Doc Prep was so honest with my case, I feel compelled to report to the public about my experience. If there is one honest and ethical loan modification/restructuring firm out there it has to be Secure Doc Prep; and for that I will refer all family/friends to this company. kudos to Secure Doc Prep for not jumping at the chance to take someone's money. If they operate like this with me, they will operate in the same manner with you!

So we went through everything like I said before, and they screwed us over. They said there was nothing they could do for us and they would do everything in there power to return our money. Then they would send us a letter saying it is taking them longer than expected to send the money. Now there phone #'s are disconnected. bye bye money
